{"id":316,"date":"2018-07-20T10:09:59","date_gmt":"2018-07-20T10:09:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kvkyavatmal.pdkv.ac.in\/?page_id=316"},"modified":"2022-04-20T11:57:40","modified_gmt":"2022-04-20T11:57:40","slug":"about-kvk","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/kvkyavatmal.pdkv.ac.in\/?page_id=316","title":{"rendered":"KRISHI VIGYAN KENDRA, YAVATMAL \u2013 AT A GLANCE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Yavatmal was established by ICAR in the year 1<sup>st<\/sup> April, 2005 for Yavatmal district under Dr. PanjabraoDeshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">KVK, is an integral part of the National Agricultural Research System (NARS), aims at assessment of location specific technology modules in agriculture and allied enterprises, through technology assessment, refinement and demonstrations. KVKs have been functioning as Knowledge and Resource Centre of agricultural technology supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector for improving the agricultural economy of the district and are linking the NARS with extension system and farmers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>KVK System: Mandate and Activities<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">The mandate of KVK is Technology Assessment and demonstration for its Application and Capacity Development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000\">To implement the mandate effectively, the following activities are envisaged for each KVK<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">On-Farm Testing (OFT) to assess the location specific of agricultural technology under various framing system.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Front line Demonstration (FLD) to establish production potential of technology on the farmer\u2019s field.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Capacity development of farmers and extension personnel to update their knowledge and skill on modern agricultural technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">To work as knowledge and Resource Centre of agricultural technologies for supporting initiatives of public, private and voluntary sector in improving the agricultural economy of the district.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000\">Provide farm advisories using ICT and other media means on varied subjects of interest to farmers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Yavatmal was established by ICAR in the year 1st April, 2005 for Yavatmal district under Dr. PanjabraoDeshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth, Akola.
